Toxin-Free Body: Organic Makeup

When we first began the Maker's Diet, I was horrified to find that my beloved Mac makeup contained toxic chemicals. (The most common chemicals in conventional makeup are phenylenediamine, benzene, and formaldehyde).

I had an entire case full of a wide array of gorgeous eyeshadows, foundation, eyeliner, lip liner, lip gloss, and mascara. But as much as I loved my beautiful makeup, I knew it wasn't worth it to continue adding to my body's burden. So I went on a hunt. I settled on Bare Escentuals, but became somewhat disillusioned when I discovered that many of their products still contain parabens, a toxic preservative linked with breast cancer.

I just don't feel I can trust a company to be "natural" when they market some products with toxic chemicals, and some without.

But I wanted something similar to Bare Escentuals. I did some google searching, and finally found an AWESOME company named Jenulence, whose wonderful motto is, "If you can't eat it, don't use it on your skin!"

I tried out their foundation, which was cheaper than BE, and absolutely loved it. I'm totally hooked! In fact, I'm just about to order some more. In time I look forward to using their other products as well. I'm currently using HoneyBee Gardens products for my blush, eyeshadow, mascara, etc, which are also very high quality, but I feel that the Jenulence products meet up to my ridiculously high standards even more. :)

Check out their website, and get 10% off on your first order! You just have to enter newcustomer in the coupon code area. Their website is: http://www.jenulence.com.

If you do place an order, feel free to put my name in for your referral!

Arbonne also makes make-up and skin care without any Parabens, petrochemicals, animal by products, artificial colors, sweeteners or flavors. I'm working on a research essay about one of their products, Prolief, that provides over the counter bio-identical progesterone cream for those who suffer from estrogen dominance (often due to exposure to the above mentioned chemicals, stress and contaminated food and water). Let me know if you want any of their products (I get a significant discount).
